About this event
Join fellow members for a wildflower walk to see the ephemeral spring wildflowers at the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education (SCEE). We’ll walk along trails that will take us to Trout Lilies, Virginia Bluebells, Trilliums, Blue Cohosh and many other beauties. Part of the trail is along a stream and another part is up a hillside. We may also see migrating birds - binoculars are a plus.
The walk is steep/ somewhat challenging in spots and is not handicapped accessible. Parts of the trail can be expected to be wet and muddy; please wear appropriate footwear and consider hiking poles. Afterwards we’ll gather at the SCEE visitor center containing an art gallery and small nature-oriented shop.
SCEE does not allow dogs or bicycles.
If you want to borrow binoculars, the Andorra library has them available for loan.
Meet at the SCEE Visitor Center at 9:45 am, the walk will depart at 10 am.
The walk should take an hour or an hour and 15 minutes. Total distance: one to one and a half miles.
